August Across America was a roaring success. Traveling through 8 US states, I hit the road to share about TerraClear’s work in Laos—and how we bring ceramic filters and safe drinking water straight into homes in rural Lao communities. Over the course of the trip, I had the joy of presenting to Rotary Clubs, churches, and meeting countless individuals across Texas, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, and New York.
One highlight was the Lao Thai Fundraiser Dinner in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. More than 200 people came together for an incredible evening, and the Lao American community not only prepared a delicious homemade meal but also welcomed me into their kitchens to cook alongside them. It felt like being in Laos right here in America, and it reminded me of the deep ties of friendship that clean water creates across cultures.

By the end of the journey, more than $18,000 had been raised to support clean water for families in Laos—gifts that came from Texas to New York. Every $75 provides a subsidized household ceramic filter, training, a locally made rattan stand, and years of safe drinking water for one family. That generosity means many more families will soon experience health, hope, and opportunity through something as simple, yet powerful, as clean water and puts us well on our way to raising funds for 200 subsidized filters per month.
Whether you heard me speak during this trip, are part of our extended TerraClear community, or are just learning about TerraClear, I’d love for you to feel connected to this work. The TerraClear family is made up of people who care about health, dignity, and brighter futures for families in Laos—and there’s always room for more.
